Its name derived from the local cultivation of cedar, but nowadays this ancient sea hamlet, with its single steep road climbing up the hillside, is more renown amongst its visitors for the local delicacy 'rosamarina' – a bluefish. The nearby coastal towns are all worthy of a visit, each with something different to offer.
Cetraro Marina, a pleasant seaside-resort stands at about 2 km from the Cetraro Comune of which is part.
The ancient Citrarium (name derived from the abundant citrus cultivation in the area) was a centre of the Bruzi rising between Paola and Capo Bonifati. Its coastal location offers boat excursions of great interest
