Proposal of a Special Section on “Image Analysis for Medical Measurements” within the IEEE International Workshop on Mediacal Measurements

The use of image data is pervasive in many fields of the biomedical sciences from the molecular level to the diagnostic levels. In almost all applications of medical images there is the need to identify, extract and measure objects of medical interest. The special section will be open to the presentation of all the state methods, technologies and applications of image analysis applied to the measurements in medical images. The organizers expect a number of papers between 8 to 16 and the invitation of an eminent scientist in this field. The topics of the section include, but are not limited to:
